Amanda was born in Houma, Louisiana and now lives Sulphur, Louisiana. She first started dancing at age 12, and a desire for the art was quickly born. Amanda became a Dancing ClassroomsTeaching Artist in 2012. She is currently the school and business liaison for Dancing Classrooms and the director of The Whistle Stop’s DanceSport Program, developing competitive ballroom dance teams in middle and high schools across SWLA.

Amanda loves the Dancing Classrooms program and believes that teaching from the heart with passion and witnessing the art of ballroom dance transform children into young ladies and gentlemen. The confidence, elegance, and class Dancing Classrooms inspires cannot be taught sitting in a classroom. Amanda won the Originality Award twice: in 2014 with celebrity partner, Lee Peck, and in 2015 with Doug Gehrig. She won 3rd place with Derrick Kee in 2016 and Best Costume last year with Rick Sweeney.
